Sarah's Vineyard 2013 Central Coast Pinot Noir - 88 Points, Good Value
Very proper, nicely ripened, red cherry fruit is joined by subtle notes of tobacco and sweet oak in both the mid-density aromas and flavors of this measured middleweight, and, while never an especially intense or layered look at Pinot, the wine earns good marks for clarity and continuity. It is just tannic enough to suggest that it will develop for several more years, but will make useful drinking in the near term with lighter meats of all sorts. — Connoisseurs' Guide to California Wine (10/2015).

2010 Cote de Madone – 91 Points
“Hearty and earthy aromas of elderberry, beet juice, smashed plums, black tea, chopped herbs and turned loam hit the nose on this blend of 75% Grenache, 12% Syrah, 10% Mourvèdre, 2% Carignane and 1% Counoise. Coffee leads the palate, but the deep purple fruits of boysenberry and olallieberry flourish alongside black pepper, leather and a beef jerky character.” - Wine Enthusiast, 06/2015
2012 Santa Cruz Mounatins Pinot Noir – 90 Points
“Taking fruit from his estate’s neighboring, higher elevation appellation, vintner Tim Slater delivers aromas of rhubarb, beet juice and fennel shavings. The very flavorful wine is lush with red fruits and brown spices like nutmeg, delivering a solid, straight-forward representation of the beloved grape.”
